Klipsch iGroove SXT Speaker System for iPhone and iPod

“While many iPod speakers fall into the dime-a-dozen category, the iGroove SXT iPod Speaker System, with iPhone certification, definitely does not.” – says the commercial and we can not disagree. It’s sexy, small and looks attractive wherever we put it and the most important thing here – it works! It didn’t have any problems with any “i” thingy we challenged it with, except for iPads, it’s not even designed for them, otherwise it wouldn’t be small and sexy, it would be…you know.

The original iGroove SXT, introduced in 2007, turned a lot of heads with its sleek style and performance prowess. This latest version takes that success to a whole new level, without costing a penny more. The iGroove SXT remains a true stereo sound system that employs dual long-throw 2.5-inch woofers in a ported enclosure and dual 3/4-inch horn-loaded tweeters. Klipsch is the only company in the iPod speaker category to utilize horn technology, a design that delivers lifelike sound as well as produces more output using less energy. The buttons on the unit feel a little rough on the edges but that can be easily ignored because it comes with an IR remote, a small minus in today’s standards, but better than nothing. The unit includes an “S” video jack on the back for showing videos and podcasts on your TV and the reviews for it were positive. We combined it with our iPod’s alarm clock feature and it served its purpose without problems on our nightstand. For now, that is all we could say about this good-for-everything, the result? Huge stereo sound from a pint-sized package – a must have for audiophiles like us who want to hear it all but for a lot less bucks than the Bose Sound Docks.
